More Philosophy

Today in class we went over a lot of philosophy. We started the class period by looking at a piece of art that showed a pipe followed by the words, "This is not a pipe." We then had a bit of time to discuss what it meant and why it wasn't a pipe. After a bit of brainstorming, I came to the realization that it wasn't a pipe because it was a painting of a pipe, more specifically a picture of a painting of a pipe and even more specifically a projection of a picture of a painting of a pipe, which turned out to be the main message that the painting was trying to convey. This proves that I am in fact a master philosopher, perhaps the greatest of my time. (Most definitely the greatest of my time)

More on the prehistoric civ stuff

Today in class we sadly took notes again. It was quite upsetting to do this, and I was extremely tired so I really didn't want to. However, life and Mr. Shick don't care. We took some notes. I hated it. After the terrible, awful, no good, very bad note-taking, we talked about some of the laws of that time. They were very brutal. It included a lot of death for crimes that seem somewhat minor by today's standards. For example, if you stole an animal you would have to pay thirtyfold what you stole, or you die. Really brutal, it would be unthinkable by today's standards. A reason for this is because they had no jail, and therefore the punishment would have to be swift and immediate, hence why its all cutting of limbs or death.

Free Day (Yay)

There's not that much to write about for today's blog as we didn't do much. However, because I want the points, I will write about it anyway. Today in class we played jeopardy. Well, we just kinda watched jeopardy and answered the questions. We chose a candidate to represent Nick due to the similarities between the two. He lost by a lot. He finished the game with no money. It was awful. Complete manslaughter. Just brutal. Not even close. He was 10k away from the closest competitor. It was hard to look at. Just awful. Sad. It was very sad. A toddler could've done better. He should've just stayed home.
