Human Geo stuff

Today in class we walked in and did our blogs while "Nick" did his test. Oh ya, Chisto also got yelled at by Mr. Shuck because he talked or something. We are about to go over the tests that we took yesterday. I already know my grade: 48/50 which means I got one question wrong since the test was out of twenty-five and fifty divided by twenty-five is two meaning that each question is two points and since I got two points off that means I only got one wrong. I also know absolutely which one I got wrong because I found out directly after the quiz what the answer to a question I was having trouble with and it wasn't my answer. This means that I really don't have much to gain from going over the questions and answers because I already know the one question and answer I didn't during the test. Also, I had to write this without the D key again... (Don't ask how I'm able to still type D though).

Quiz Religion stuff

Today in class, we had a quiz about the major world religions. I am fairly confident with my performance with it but am slightly worried as there were a few questions that I had a bit of trouble with, and, with it being a short quiz, getting only a couple questions off could result in the difference between an A and a B. This might not seem that bad, but I currently have a B in Human Geo and would like to up it to an A by the end of the quarter, which granted is in a while, but I would be more comfortable with having an A. I have to add that this blog is quite hard to write as I don't have a D key currently but I can make do.

Test back

Today in class we got our test from Monday back. My grade on it was 93%. I thought it was pretty easy but it was slightly harder than I had imagined. Looking back on it, it's pretty ironic how on the questions that almost a third of the test-takers got wrong were pretty easy for me but I got questions wrong that almost no one else did. I am fairly content with my grade and hope to do better in the future. This brought my grade up from 85 to 89.6 which counts as an A, so now I have straight As again. I have to keep in mind, however, that I am very close to reverting back to a B so I got to be careful and get more As.

Test

Today in class we had a test. This test was about everything we had learned about population and settlement as well as population pyramids. The combined knowledge of the two leads to more developed problems that required more in-depth thought and critical thinking than just memorizing definitions, which was what was on the last test. At the beginning of class, we were able to study for a couple minutes before promptly being asked to clear our desks and prepare for the test. In my opinion, the test wasn't too terribly difficult, and while a couple problems made me second guess myself, I believe to have gotten a good grade on it as long as I didn't have an error in recording my answers.

Interesting stuff for grade

1. The infant mortality rate in Afghanistan is 108.5 deaths/1000 live births. This is quite concerning considering that the average of the entire world is 32 deaths/ 1000 live births. This means that Afghanistan has close to three times the infant mortality as the world average. We can see the effects of this by the TFR being 5.02 children per woman because each mother has to have multiple children to increase the odds of one of them living to adulthood. 2. The total GDP in China $23.21 Trillion. This is interesting because it shows that China has the most money of all the countries. This might lead one to believe that it has a good economy but in reality, each individual person (on average) makes about $16,700 per year (GDP PPP). 3. The amount of money spent on military expenditures in the United States is 3.16% of the GDP. This is interesting because many expect the USA to spend a ridiculous amount of money on there military, and they do, but in reality, they are only ranked 19,
